to run, so just get xemacs-base and dired.

Ok, thanks again. I looked in the FAQ but apparently skipped right over
it. I guess I should learn to abandon my fear of C-s. I found also
that upgrading to the newest XFree86 fixes the problem without enabling
the sw_cursor option.
