We’ve moved to the XEmacs X11 application class as the default, to cut
down
on the conflicts with GNU Emacs. M-x replace-regexp RET ^Emacs RET
XEmacs
RET on your ~/.Xdefaults will set you up; if you really don’t have
time to
do that now, set the environment variable
USE_EMACS_AS_DEFAULT_APPLICATION_CLASS before starting XEmacs.
Thanks a lot for your help. I just missed this from a cursory reading
of the "Changes in xemacs 21.5" section.
