Actually, that's an appallingly reliable recipe for success if you look
at those with good track records. The problem is more that programmers
consider seduction a problem calling for novel approaches from scratch.
Like trying to come up with a novel approach to eating or walking from
scratch. The Monty Python "Ministry for silly walks" sketch could be
modeled after programmers' dating practices.
They don't know how to cook without involving high-energy
particle
physics?
