Hello
I am writing so to speak as a mediator between the maintainer of the
LyX program and the xemacs maintainers.
There are 2 points worth to be discussed.
1. LyX is written in C++ (I don't know any details) and now the
maintainer is looking for an extension language available as a
library! The decision is not made yet but Siod another lisp
dialect is considered very seriously. Now I proposed, xemacs-lisp,
which would may be allow to use a lot of already written extensions
and also open the possibility to benefit from the huge amount of
xemacs-lisp experienced people . However I have no idea about the
xemacs-lisp implementation in the C code and that's why I try to
contact you, or some of the persons who figure as maintainers.
2. I am interested in this because the second step of LyX concerns
internationalisation beyond iso-8859-1. So if xemacs-lisp would be a
candidate for the LyX team, Mule could be chosen for the purpose of
internationalisation.
Pls if you are willing to give some helpful information the persons
interested in these questions would be grateful.
If you want to contact the maintainer of the LyX project by yourself
here is his email address:
