Then the user should set the appropriate Emacs variables. This is not
a problem Emacs can solve; as far as I know, there is no
"getMXforLocalHost()" system call. So all MUAs face this difficulty.
A DNS lookup would be one alternative here.

I doubt there is one. I've never heard of REPLYTO before, can you
tell me where it is standardized?
