This depends on whether the intended audience will have access
to enriched text decoders. AFAIK it's not the same as RTF, etc.
Well, among
the intended audience, mandating the use of
text/enriched would probably promote the use of XEmacs... :-)
I don't think much of anybody uses text/enriched any more.
OK, I don't have to use it either, but what do I do when I want
to add a sentence (to a source code file) in red, so that it
stands out? Or strike out a word? Basically, is XEmacs a word
processor?
