[OT] Restricting access to certain buffers

Apologies for the off-topic post. I know that there are better suited forums for this, but I don't have access to them at this time. I'm wondering if it is possible to display a buffer that can't be selected? For something that I'm working on, I have a frame layout that looks something like this... ---------------------------------------------------------- | | | | buf a | buf b | | | | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- | buf c | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | | | | | | | | buf d | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ---------------------------------------------------------- Buffers `a' and `b' contain extents and widgets used for manipulating the contents of buffer `d'. Buffer `c' contains static text. I'd like to make it impossible (or at least very hard) for a user to move point out of buffer `d'.
