Ouch, you're right, I misremembered.
It was fun watching all my macros and functions break when RMS
changed the behavior.
Well, I put back in a gosmacs transpose characters function (the GNU
version confuses the crap out of me), I really would prefer the Emacs
18 behavior of zap-to-char.
