I haven't done that in quite some time, and only to send some profile
results for slow gnus some time back.
Are you expecting crashes? If so, I'll be more careful when I do this
in case it trashes something important. :-)

involving options
MC_ALLOC=1
or
USE_UNION_TYPE=1
or
OPTIMIZED_BUILD=1
