Hi Adrian,
Here it is:
Library is file c:/Program
Files/XEmacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/eshell/eshell.elc
My Xemacs environment is recently built, so I am sure the package is
updated to date(from
ftp.xemac.org).
BTW, I have checked it under Linux environment, the result/behavior is
same.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hello Kevin, where did you get the eshell.el you are using?
Latest XEmacs eshell package does not have that symbol.
You report suggests you use the latest eshell package, but please try
this:
What does
M-x locate-library RET eshell RET
give you?
Get the returned text with
C-h l (view-lossage)
I get:
Library is file c:\Program
Files\XEmacs\xemacs-packages\lisp\eshell\eshell.elc
Best regards,
Adrian

Dear Bug Team!
I set eshell-buffer-shorthand to true to enable the eshell redirection
buffer
shorthand, but
it just redirect all the eshell command output information into a
buffer
"t"
(even without ">>"), and if I use the
following command "help>'try", eshell will tell me to expect the other
"'".
