The netinstaller adds these to the registry under AppPaths for xemacs:
C:/cygwin/usr/local/bin/i686-pc-cygwin;C:/cygwin/bin;C:/cygwin/usr/bin
so it seems this should be unneccessary. Can you check that you AppPaths
entry actually matches your setup. This is
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\AppPaths\xemacs-21.4.xx.exe
Cygwin ftp.exe; do you agree? In addition, it appears that it will
not be
possible to run both Cygwin and native versions of Xemacs. One requires
Cygwin ftp and the other requires the Windows version--or am I ignorant of
some tip, trick or technique?
I thought that both XEmacsen worked better with cygwin ftp.
After removing (split-window-horizontally) from my init.el file,
Cygwin
Xemacs is much more stable.
Can you elaborate on this? Does it crash or what?
