Certainly similar problems with BadWindow errors from X have been
reported. ISTR Mike Sperber fixed one that was biting him, or maybe
it went away as soon as he said he was going to look for it. :-/
However I think Glynn suggested earlier that that is possibly due to
some client or window manager that is doing something bogus; I think
it's unlikely to be related to the Gnus problem.
The Gnus problem smells like a deadlock in the process code; maybe Ben
will be able to take a look at it soon.

If working means "doing what we can", then yes. I've looked at code
that I can imagine being related, I'm sure others have too, but
without a more or less reproducible case, that's as far as it can go.
I hope you will add the logging code that Glynn suggests, as that
might help us to catch the X-related problem.
