A question for X11/XIM gurus

I don't think you'll find any clues in that difference. "Commercial Motif" evidently doesn't mean Sun/DEC/HP? Or does it? You could probably avoid the crash by doing exactly what I guessed above in src/input-method-motif.c:XIM_init_frame (). You could fiddle with XSetLocaleModifiers.... Uhhhhm. What revisions of X11 do we need to be compatible with? R5 and all R6.x, right? I don't think you can use XSetLocaleModifiers in R5. "Bletch, barf, choke. What else is new? Motif is broke!"
