Our 64 bit debugging wizard Olivier Galibert has just come up with the
probable cause of this and a fix. I'll put a new version out tonight
for testing.
It was tested and working on :
OSF1 libellule.loria.fr V4.0 564 alpha
with DEC's cc, but no optimizations (thix box crawls).
