As `ChangeLog' entry explains, failures or successes to link programs using openldap depend primarily not on system type (cygwin or otherwise), but on how openldap defines `LDAP_OPT_ON', that is, on openldap version. Please include that version in discussion. (2.3.13 is known to define it in a way creating `-lber' symbol reference.) Dr. Volker Zell, Will appreciate if you tell your openldap version along with your build report as requested by Vin Shelton.
