My problem is: Mike's first information (one has to look for and
specify an operating system specific option as additional ftp arg) is
not easy to describe in a Web Site that targets beginners. I don't
want to alienate new XEmacs users with too-complex update
descriptions, and therefore I'm looking for a stepwise and
easy-to-follow workaround description.
Mike, is it possible to say something like `do first <a>; if you still
get EFS erros, try <b>; else try <c>'; where my proposal would just be
<a> or <b>? Maybe <c> is `fetch and install an EFS update manually'?
Well, now that I think about it; maybe manual fetch and install is the
only realistic workaround.
