That's weird; there are a fair number of occurances in *-x.c files
according to grep. It seems unlikely that they're protected by #ifdef
MS_WINDOWS....
They're in dialog-msw.c, sysdep.c (protected by the rare case !HAVE_GETCWD),
unexcw.c, unexnext.c, unexnt.c, and win32.c.
I can *easily* believe that it's been ages since anyone built XEmacs on
a NeXT or a machine without getcwd()...
