Hi Folks. I'm attempting to find the correct sequence of e-lisp expressions to raise my sole XEmacs window to the top of the stack of windows on my display by using gnuclient. I'm running on Fedora 17, using gnome (in fallback mode). XEmacs is 21.5 (beta35). gnuclient -batch -eval '(raise-frame)' sometimes works. Usually, however, if the window is buried under a gnome terminal window, it won't raise it further to the top. If I programatically minimize the window: gnuclient -batch -eval '(iconify-frame)' then try to raise, it, it returns to where it previously was in the window stack. If I manually minimise it and then try to raise it, it will pop up on the top of the stack. Can anybody help further?
