about obsolete packages
Hi !
Attached below is a extract from a conversation with David Katrup. I think we
have a real problem with packages that we continue to distribute in an
obsolete and unmaintained state.
I think we should remove these packages alltogether. They are obviously a
nuisance for the upstream guys, they mislead _our_ users because they might
think that they get up-to-date stuff (I've been bitten by this ;-).
I'd like to hear other people's opinion though.
