To whom it may concern,

I am using XEmacs (21.4) in Windows XP and am trying to configure the Gold Key binding.  I would like f12 to be the Gold key, which will switch back and forth between 2 sets of key bindings.  I have tried the command:

(if default
(define-key 'edt-default-global-map 'f12 gold-binding)
(define-key 'edt-user-gold-map 'f12 gold-binding))

but to no avail.  Here is an example of the key-bindings from regular Emacs which I am trying to replicate in XEmacs:

(defvar AViiON-map ())
(progn
  (setq AViiON-map (make-keymap))
;  (global-set-key 'f12 AViiON-map)
;  (define-key AViiON-map "f" 'fill-paragraph)
;  (define-key AViiON-map [End] 'end-of-buffer)
