[Bug: 21.5-b18] another mysterious crash

Current more-or-less stable beta is 21.5.27, but another is due soon. I believe that Aidan recently fixed a couple of bugs related to cut/paste, so you may want to move to CVS HEAD. For crashes, we need a C backtrace. Lisp can't crash ;-) so it must be in the C code. Also, if you don't have debugging symbols (since you're using a distro, you almost surely don't) you will need to get them.
