You're probably using an ftp client (perhaps the cygwin ftp
client) that
doesn't produce any prompt message if it's input is not a tty. When efs
The other thing I have found is that cygwin no longer installs ftp by
default,
thus by default you will get the mswindows ftp which exhibits this problem.
Installing the cywin ftp made this problem go away for me.
