This is a Mailman list, with subscriber information kept private (of
course admins can see it), so if you prefer to read via GMane or
occasionally browse the archives, you can immediately set yourself to
nomail and list subscription should have no effect on traffic levels
or spam.  (Sorry, you'll have to log in after replying to the
confirmation email to change your settings).

To get an idea of recent traffic levels, visit

and flip through the messages.  (Sorry, there isn't a more convenient
way, currently Pipermail doesn't provide timestamps in the summary.)
