Hi, xemacs,

I've just built and installed mercurial 1.4.3.  Following the
instructions on the xemacs website, I then do:

    $ time hg clone http://hg.debian.org/hg/xemacs/xemacs-beta

.  Hg then bugs out with:

    abort: could not import module _ssl!
    Exception AttributeError: "'httprepository' object has no attribute
    'urlopener'" in <bound method httprepository.__del__ of
    <mercurial.httprepo.httprepository object at 0x4031ae6c>> ignored

.  Has anybody any idea what I've got to do to get mercurial to "import
module _ssl"?  If so, please tell me.  Have I missed out some critical
step whilst installing mercurial?
