change-mode (permanent)

Hello

I using the minor mode change-mode (author Richard Sharman)
which records the editing changes of one session. However to
a certain extend I would like to save these changes and to
use them after I have restarted xemacs (of course I do not
want to keep all changes since this would be a mess).

Does anybody know about such a minor-mode?

The closest thing I know  is vc-annotate for files under
version  control.
