Why I attempted to port dired/VC from emacs

Now that we have all of these nice patches in the tracker, do we have to 
submit them to xemacs-patches?  I've been using vc with SVN daily for
3 weeks now and I haven't had a bug pop-up.  There are some annoying
features that have been discussed, but nothing's perfect.
