Everyone is of course free to do that. I still think there are some
things to do first that has much, much higher priority. So excuse me for
repeating myself but releasing 21.5 and then go GPLv3 are still top on
my list.

(Discussing toolkits seems to be more fun though ... :-)

So having said that I'd say wxWidgets sounds interesting and while we
are busy with releasing and GPLV3-ing we will have plenty of time to
think about these things more carefully!
