I wonder if the mpfr library does ... the website says it does.  I bet
we could borrow SXEmacs's implementation.

Well, if you have any specifics, add them to issue462, which I just
created based on the stuff that you and Giacomo posted, and I've
confirmed on Gentoo Linux/x86_64.
