support truefonts?

What are "truefonts"?  Do you mean TrueType (and OpenType) fonts?
We've supported those for years in 21.5 with the --with-xft
configuration.

They're not very well supported in the sense that there are still
display glitches with some fonts at some sizes, and Customize doesn't
support them properly at all.
