Speed difference in Gnus

Ok I see, how could I test that in the case I mentioned (copying and
moving a lot of msg from imap folders to nnml folder, or even between
imap folders) is slow?
Can I run some kind of profiler to find out, in of the points
mentioned above could be the culprit?
