That 1st build report hang in the xemacs-beta incoming queue for a
while. The problems I had with build.el were rectified with the
configure.usage patch that I posted, and on that you have reacted
already. Thus, no new bug report. :-)

Nevertheless, some remarks: It's not quite clear what you expect in
the log file beta.err. I meant it to mean the configure log, but that
was just a guess. The make log buffers where named different, so they
didn't provide a clue either. Maybe build.el should set the file name
in the make log buffers, then one could simple save them as intended.
