Actually, I think this one doesn't work with the hook -- switching
windows does, but it doesn't display stuff in the modeline.  Since my
hook never got approved or reviewed or whatever, I never put up a dual
working mode, currently (despite the comment in my previous url) there
are 2 versions, one for gnu, and one for x.
