help needed to sync auctex pkg with the new 11.52 release

Surely that violates the FHS?  In any case, I would probably put it
in something like "/var/share/xemacs/xemacs-packages/etc/auctex/" if I
separated modifiable data from readonly data.

It doesn't support that separation, at the moment, to the best of my
knowledge.
