Solved. First user I put the UID @ 500 (to match the server that I NFS 
mount files on). Seems the users had to start at 1000 to show up on the 
*dm launcher. Whoops.

Anyway, after messing with it for most of the afternoon, I have to say I 
like it. There are only two things holding me back right now. 1) the 
hardware I was testing it on was not so great, performance felt bad 
after launching a few X apps like mail, chrome and a few xterms. 2) I 
cant get the VPN (Aventail SSL or the Juniper SSL client) software to 
work.  If I can solve #2, I'll work on getting better HW.

I am going to reload it in a VM on my regular home workstation to try to 
solve the VPN issue. That is a critical requirement.
