The biggest thing stopping me is finding a VPS provider that'll let me
run my own SMTP server (i.e., inbound and outbound traffic). For
various reasons I'd like to go with a provider OCONUS that is fairly
trustworthy and will give me enough disk space to set up a
LUKS-encrypted filesystem for /home (where the Maildirs are kept). Of
course, a provider that isn't immediately flagged as a spam haven by
half the Net is a requirement (but I might be asking for a pony there).
Disk space is a big concern of mine these days, so a reasonable price
on about 0.5-1 TB of space on a VPS would be ideal (that's factoring
in all of my e-mail, my users' e-mail, the status.net instance, the
ejabberd instance, and my YaCy node).
I'd like to not have to auction off a heart to cover a year's worth of
hosting if I can help it.
Any suggestions?
