Good to know, like I said this was my point of view and that battle (or 
perceived one) I choose to avoid. Seemed like I was always finding a 
laundry list on how to make it work under 64bit or finding an 
alternative that had 64 bit support...

I changed employers about a year ago so I took another swing at 64bit 
and at that time. This time the deal breaker was skype which I did get 
to run (but it was painful) but was very unstable while the 32 bit 
worked fine. Researched revealed there was issues with 64bit at that 
time... To be fair I am not fooling my self in that linus is important 
to them but unfortunately my employer uses it so I have a need to be 
compatible with it. I also had some strange video issues that seemed to 
go away when I switched back but I did not spend much time with that.

Again I do not have a driving need for 64bit and it seemed easier for 
me.. Standard disclaimers apply. Given the glowing reviews I may revisit 
it again... :-)
