[Novalug] Mounting 20TB XFS

  Holy Crap Indeed! Why would you put your ROOT fs on such a big disk?

And speaking of which...who makes disks that big?

I would say that your best bet is to install a Rescue Linux in 
/boot...simply do a new uinstall but Do Not Format.

Essentially, what you get is the union of / and /boot together.
