For what it's worth, the list I gave Greg was focused on SA topics because
that seemed to be what people were interested in. If people are interested
in getting more development topics, I can definitely go in that direction as
well.

Some of the things I've been working with a lot lately that might make for
interesting topics:

* CouchDB / CouchApp (or just Document-Oriented Databases in general)
* Redis
* Job Queues and Messaging (beanstalk, GearMan, TheSchwartz)
* ExtJS
* Automating/Scripting GUI applications with Sikuli
* Open Source Microcontrollers

The fundamentals / conceptual topics are always difficult to come up with
ideas for, since it's tough (for me anyway) to figure out what topics would
appeal to a wide audience. Some things I've been dealing with recently
that might be good:

* NTP (Including how to build cheap but highly accurate reference clocks)
* Entropy (Why you need it, where it comes from, some fun ways to get more)
* PAM (the basics + advanced tricks/cookbook)
* Filesystems (journaling, metadata, ACLs, ext4, ZFS, BTRFS, ...)
* Wi-fi security (your network is not as secure as you think it is!)
* Bash Wizardry
