[Novalug] how do you get your data despite a possible drive failure

pvscan
lvscan
you should see the name of the partition and it probably has _home in it
mkdir /a
mount /dev/...../*home /a
(replace /dev/..... with the results from lvscan)
Them you should find your home directory
