[Novalug] Experience with film scanners with Linux

I have been doing some research on film scanners

Epson has one that is at a pretty good price:

Epson Perfection 4490 Photo Scanner

My ancient SCSI Epson Perfection scanner works fine with SANE.

Anyone had experience with this more recent model which is set up for 
photo and film scanning?
