[Novalug] re arghh / sound cable

I thought I had the same problem - no cable. But, I get sound: I
understand that the signal now goes thru the PCI bus.

Now as regards an IBM desk top! First one I bought for my daughter, years
ago, came with the Chernobyl virus pre-installed. It took hours, running
antivirus from a floppy, to disinfect that sucker. Second one for wife
gave blue screen of death during setup of pre-installed software. I put it
back in the box and got a refund. Bought new MB, processor, HD, and OEM
WinXP (no flames, please: I suffered enuf with reboots, etc.) and built a
"new" PC for her. Fun and games.
