[Novalug] one.ubuntu.com experiences?

Schoolwork has been requiring that I keep a fair number of files
accessible to various portable, home, work and school machines.  I've
just started experimenting with the new ubuntu "cloud" (beta) for this
purpose (on my ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10 machines).

It is described as:

"Ubuntu One helps you store, sync and share stuff. With both free and
paid subscription levels, Ubuntu One helps you sync your files, share
your work with others or work remotely, all with your Ubuntu
computer."

I have not had a lot of success with it so far (successful reg and
signon but no upload success).  Is anyone else successfully using it
so far?
