BTW, isn't the 245w a 1920x1200 native resolution and not 1680x1050?


I've been using 1680x1050 LCDs on Linux since 2004, all auto-detected.
It's been a long-time VESA standard resolution.
Acer, AOC, Aopen, Dell, Sceptre, Sony, etc...

I've been using DVI for everything since 2003, although VGA comes through
fine too.  DVI just makes everything easier/better.
