[Novalug] [OT] Debugging Winderz problem

I am about to call Intuit. I believe this is some sort of permissions
issue. QB runs under administrator but not as a user. It is trying to
install something, so I inserted the original CD and after a while it
said it can't reach the server.
Since this is dedicated to QB and I can get access as Admin, I can
continue and only use QB when not on the net to download mail ( I want
corporate mail saved on this machine. Other than that, I don't need to
use the machine.
This would be a reasonable target for virtualization. Unfortunately, I
recall reading Intuit (or others) had issues running in a virtualized
world. Later I will play with that to see what, if any, issues arise.
I'd like to free the laptop for other things and only use it when
dealing with the accountant.
