Yea... it wasn't bad because I knew it was going to be fun getting past
this piece.
MOCA is the coax that is required for STB to work (widgets, tv listing,
on demand).
I got the new box and tried to hook it up. But of course since I was
'switched to ethernet' I had to call and get 'switched back to moca'. So
now I don't have an open connection to the internet, although I will
figure out how to do it...

I crack monkey wired my house in the 80s (when it was built) and I could
not use ANY of the existing wiring. There is one dead phone jack (last
on the line (they did inline instead of star wiring). The cable just
doesn't work. No idea what they did and we ended up drilling a hole in
the brick to the drop in the basement where I wanted the tv. 1 drop and
it works fine. When we sell, well that will be an issue I am sure
because I doubt anyone else in a house has only 1 drop. It tends to be 0
or >3.
