[Novalug] wireless web cams - linux - senior monitoring

  I've not played with webcams, but I did some time-lapse photo
gathering to make a movie of my chestnut trees growing a year or so
ago.

  For this application, I used a high-end still camera.  I've also
played with some low-end (10 buck) cameras that can take images
with gphoto2 via PTP. 

  One of these might give you what you need.
  
  I did the wireless by attaching the camera via USB to a cheap, used
(Dell CpX) laptop with a PCMCIA card.
