Bill,
On Opensuse website they have a section about installing the latest driver
from nvidia so you can get 3D working. I have problems the first go at it, so
make sure you back up everything in /boot prior to installing.
The whole ATI/Nvidia drivers issue is realy stupid. Hopefully these companies
will get onboard and make it easier to switch over.
