[Novalug] OT: clipperz.com - safe?

"disgruntled bonehead in Ops": That's why I asked opinions about clipperz (hate the name). Clipperz encrypts on the client side. There is nothing on the server to identify (not even a userid). I was hoping someone else would look at the technical description and give an opinion. I don't like auxiliary devices such as PDAs, phones or ipods since they get stolen or left in Mexican restaurants (;-) ) and I've got enough other junk to carry around.

I'm now more concerned about their financial stability - they took in 66 Euros last month (they may be a bit too honest).

[top/bottom post goofiness fixed - let's at least be consistent]

I don't know about his rationale but I am very wary of giving any
third party access to my logins and passwords. All it takes is one
disgruntled bonehead in Ops with the right access to give you years
worth of headaches. I prefer to compartmentalize things as much as
reasonably possible to contain what I call the bonehead factor.

FTR I have a password keeper on my Treo that is password protected and
3des encrypted, splashid. It's available for a bunch of other
platforms including Blackberry and WinCE.
