No problem here with:
  Ubuntu (dapper)  {with latest patches installed}
    Firefox (v 1.5.0.9)  1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.9-0ubuntu0.6.06
      flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.21.78.2ubuntu1~dapper1

In other words how did you install the flash 7 player?
