Ah... right. That makes sense. I guess there is pilot error on my part. I
was trying to get this to work on Mac OS X as well. When I try and add the
printer I see the computer that the printer is on - but I don't see the
printer. As a temporary measure, I turned the Windows XP firewall off and I
have set the printer to share under Windows XP. Any ideas on why the printer
does not show up under MAC OS X 10.4? I have installed the HP printer
drivers on the MAC OS X machine just in case it needs them even though the
printer is not local to the Mac.
Actually, I'm a little fuzzy today - must be New Year's hangover. ;-) I have
already printed to this printer remotely from another windows machine. I
have a SUSE 10.2 machine - I will try that next as well....
